2018 - A Year of God’s Glory

Hi! Kevin Basconi here, King of Glory Ministries International and the Pneuma Network. Today is January 22, 2018, and I am writing this to you from the Cherokee National Forest.

By the grace of God, I have had the privilege to be sequestered and hidden in the secret place for the last several months. I’ve been doing some writing and studying the word and fasting and praying. As I wait on the Lord, He has given me an encouraging word for you for this year, 2018. I want to share it with you.

It comes from Psalm 65, verses 11 and 12. That scripture says,

You crown the year with Your goodness, And Your paths drip with abundance. They drip on the pastures of the wilderness, And the little hills rejoice on every side.

God’s goodness drops on us in abundance and “You crown the year.” I want to encourage you that this year of 2018 can be a year when God can crown your year with goodness and your paths can drip with abundance.

The Holy Spirit brought this scripture to me while I was resting in the secret place. As I looked into it in more detail, I discovered that the word crown here in Psalm 65:11 is a Hebraic word meaning to encircle. It means to protect one from an attack or to encamp about an individual, a city, a nation for protection. Let me tell you, that is an amazing Hebrew word. The word can specifically mean “to crown.”

So, as we move into 2018, we have a conscious decision to make. We can allow God to crown our year for us, and when we do that God’s goodness comes upon our lives and our paths drip with abundance. The concept is that in a given year our paths will be graceful, our paths will be blessed, our paths will drip or have a multitude of abundance.

The scripture goes on and says the deserts and the valley will bloom. I felt a quickening when I read this passage meaning to bloom in a supernatural way, that there is a supernatural grace upon the year where copious amounts of supernatural colors come into our ground, into our path, into our sphere of influence. This would be similar to the desert blooming as we see in Isaiah 35. Again I am writing here in a prophetic vein in reference to what I am feeling from Psalm 65 and its possible meaning for the coming year. There is a strong correlation here:

Isaiah 35; 1-10

 The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them, And the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose;

2 It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice, Even with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it, The excellence of Carmel and Sharon. They shall see the glory of the LORD, The excellency of our God.

3 Strengthen the weak hands, And make firm the feeble knees.

4 Say to those who are fearful-hearted, "Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, With the recompense of God; He will come and save you."

5  Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

6 Then the lame shall leap like a deer, And the tongue of the dumb sing. For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, And streams in the desert.

7 The parched ground shall become a pool, And the thirsty land springs of water; In the habitation of jackals, where each lay, There shall be grass with reeds and rushes.

8 A highway shall be there, and a road, And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it, But it shall be for others. Whoever walks the road, although a fool, Shall not go astray.

9 No lion shall be there, Nor shall any ravenous beast go up on it; It shall not be found there. But the redeemed shall walk there,

10 And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, And come to Zion with singing, With everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, And sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

A Joyful Season

The glory of God manifests in our life when we allow God to crown our year with glory. The language speaks of a revolution of time or a revolutionary age—a time when there is an exceedingly great amount of grace, favor, gladness, and joy.

I want to encourage you, my friends of King of Glory or partners of King of Glory or whoever you might be, to allow God to crown 2018; that it would be a year of goodness and abundance for you.

The scripture, Psalm 65:11-12, speaks of a season to rejoice. It speaks of a season to be happy and to be contented. It speaks of a season to love and to accept love.

May 2018 be such a season for you. Allow the Lord to crown you with His grace and with His mercy. Seek the Lord. Seek His face at this time. Seek God and His word.

Psalm 119:105 tells us that the word of God reveals His paths for you.

Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.

God’s word can illuminate your way in 2018. God’s word can lead you and give you clear direction for the coming season.

The concept is like this: just as the sun arises in the morning and illuminates the Earth, God’s word can go from a logos or written word to a rhema word. God will illuminate His word for you in this coming year of 2018, when we seek Him and when we study His word.

I want to encourage you to let God’s word illuminate your way in 2018 to lead you and to give you clear direction for the coming season, just as the morning sunshine illuminates the earth. Allow God to crown your life this year, allow God and His word to illuminate your path in 2018 so that you may walk in supernatural protection and into supernatural abundance. Expect God to revolutionize your life this year as you seek His face and walk in His ways.

I want to encourage you, my friends. expect 2018 to be a year of exceeding gladness and joy. Expect 2018 to be a season to rejoice and to celebrate the goodness of God in the land of the living. May 2018 be a season of happiness and contentment for you and for those within your sphere of influence. May this year be a season of love—a season to share love, to show love, and to accept love. May 2018 be a year when the goodness of God will drip with abundance into your life. Amen.

So, until next time, this is Kevin Basconi, your host at the Pneuma Network coming to you from the Cherokee National Forest. I want to encourage you to allow God to crown your year in 2018, and may the Lord of Glory bless you and make His face to shine upon you today. Amen
