A New Supernatural Renaissance – Part Three

 

God’s Army – Megas Dunamis

 

The Renaissance has a long and complex history. The Renaissance literally turned the world upside down; the Renaissance turned accepted societal norms upon their head. These changes occurred in a very short time frame. It is the same in our time, the Lord does not need the whole earth or even the whole church in unity to shake the church. He just needs a remnant to spark this new supernatural renaissance. The Lord can accomplish his plans with an individual, or with just a small family unit, just a remnant. These new renaissance men and women will be God’s army. The Lord only needs a tiny spark. The new supernatural renaissance was ignited with a tiny ember of courage and a miniscule spark of faith.

 

Where is this supernatural dynamic found in the scripture?

 

Let’s look at a few scriptures, starting with Acts 4, where it is speaking of Peter and John:

 

Acts 4:1-2:

 

Now as they spoke to the people, the priests, the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees came upon them, beinggreatly disturbed that they taught the people and preached in Jesus the resurrection from the dead. And they laid hands on them, and put them in custody until the next day, for it was already evening. However, many of those who heard the word believed; and the number of the men came to be about five thousand.

 

So, what was it about Peter’s message that was different than all the other messages those people in Jerusalem had heard? There was a grace upon him from the Lord.

 

Acts 4:5-7:

 

And it came to pass, on the next day, that their rulers, elders, and scribes, as well as Annas the high priest, Caiaphas, John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the family of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem. And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, “By what power or by what name have you done this?”

 

Acts 4:8-12:

 

Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well, let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

 

Who was this helpless man? He was the paralytic who sat at the temple to beg alms on the Sabbath. The rulers were upset that Peter and John worked the miracle in the first place. The two men also worked the miracle on the Sabbath. (They may not have had ministry team badges with blue dots). In fact, they were upset that they had worked a miracle at all. The rulers of the church were totally undone because their rule and power over the church was challenged by the power and name of Jesus! Could it be the same in some of the churches today? Allow me to say; please submit to spiritual authority.

 

Acts 4:13:

 

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.

 

John and Peter experienced a person renaissance when they saw Jesus transfigured before them recorded in Matthew 17, Mark 9, and Luke 9 (mentioned in part one of this article). Peter and John were first century polymaths! You can also experience a person renaissance and this same supernatural boldness can come upon you.

 

Acts 4:14-20:

 

And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it. But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves, saying, “What shall we do to these men? For, indeed, that a notable miracle has been done through them is evident to all who dwell in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it. But so that it spreads no further among the people, let us severely threaten them, that from now on they speak to no man in this name.”So they called them and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John answered and said to them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge.For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

 

When the leaders of the church began to rebuke Peter and John, they asked them in whose name they worked this miracle in. Peter and John responded with, “We cannot but speak about the things which we have seen and heard.” They were talking about the Mount of Transfiguration. After this event they began to operate in the seer anointing (John 5:19).

 

What is it going to look like?

 

Let’s move onto to later in Acts 4 where we are looking at a New Testament example of Supernatural renaissance.

 

Acts 4:29-32:

 

“…Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.” And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness. Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul: neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common.

 

Here in Acts 4:33 is the definition of a new supernatural renaissance: “And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all.”

 

Megas dunamis and megas charis are going to be two earmarks of the coming new supernatural renaissance. There will be a great grace and a great faith to come upon you.

 

The time for this new thing is now. It is next week or next year. The new Supernatural Renaissance is here now. You can step into it today by God’s grace and simple faith.

 

Obedience – The Key to Megas Dunamis

 

Let me give you a few more illustrations of what it is going to look like. We have learned God is doing a new thing. It’s time for each of us to rise up. It’s time for each of us to be bold in the Lord. Over the past few years many leaders in the Body of Christ have died—put off their earth suits. Some have gone prematurely, and some have served the Lord for decades. They finished their race well.

 

Discern and Honor God’s Anointed

 

Now there is a whole generation of fine new believers, (eight or eighty-two), who may feel left behind. I’ve got great news for you. God is about to empower you to do the greater works (John 14:12, 14:10). There is a passing of God’s mantles. They are available now. Can you discern it, will you know it, will you pick it up? God will do a new thing. Will you not know it? (Isaiah 43:19). God is releasing mantles and anointings. God is willing. Are you willing? Will you pick them up and strike the river of God? Will you run with the new supernatural renaissance?

 

 Just as the seasons change in the natural, there is a parallel shift in the spiritual dimensions. And it is a God ordained moment of time for the passing of the baton. There is going to be a passing of the mantles or passing of the torch from one generation, and one segment of time, to another. I want to encourage you to discern and honor the leaders that God establishes in your midst upon the earth. Because if you don’t discern the gift of God that is upon an individual, you will not be able to receive the gift of God that is upon him or her to freely give or release to you. Honor the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Discern whom God is earmarking to lead this generation of champions. They are going to be overcomers. The Lord has been busy fashioning those people in His secret place.

 

King David is a great example of this spiritual paradigm. King David came to a place where God was transitioning him. It was a new thing God was doing. Look at 1 Chronicles 14:11: “So they went up to Baal Perazim, and David defeated them there. Then David said, ‘God has broken through my enemies by my hand like a breakthrough of water.’ Therefore they called the name of that place Baal Perazim.”

 

David was a young man when the Lord God chose him. David was a young man when God anointed him, (through the ministry of another). But when the time came, God took him to a specific place (chronological and geographical obedience). Where the power of God and the Spirit of God came upon him, God began to use him in an amazing way.

 

Geographical Breakthroughs

 

With the new Spiritual and new supernatural renaissance that is coming, there are going to be breakthroughs in many different respects. America is about to experience a breakthrough. The winds of change are blowing all over the land and there are powerful angels that God has released from the heavenly places—angels of the wings of change. These heavenly angelic beings will continue to spark this new supernatural renaissance in America and beyond. I highly recommend that you read the book “The Secrets of the Argentine Revival”, by Dr. R. Edward Miller for more insights to how this supernatural dynamic unfolds in a specific nation.

 

In this new supernatural renaissance God has released will be empowered by megas grace and megas dunamis—power—to whosoever will.

 

There are going to be geographical breakthroughs. People in places of ministry may be released from their current assignments in various geographic places and be instructed to reposition their ministries. They may hesitate because they have worked hard and are now seemly established; but consider, God is doing a new thing. I once saw the hand of the Father pick up the people and move them across the world like so many chess pieces—from city to city, from state to state, even from nation to nation.

 

If you are being nudged by the Spirit of God to move, you’d better pay attention. If you are not in the place you are supposed to be there is no grace to be in the place where you are. You have to be chronologically and geographically obedient to experience the new and eminent new supernatural renaissance. God is faithful and He is positioning His peoples. The Lord is helping us and allowing us to be pliable in His hand. The Apostle John understood. He said the Lord “must increase, but I must decrease” (John 3:30). Decrease is not easy; especially on social media platforms. For some moving will seem to be a decrease of influence, however, only by decreasing will we increase and bear the abundant fruit that the Lord has instore for us (John 15:1-11). God alone will give the increase (I Corinthians 3:7). For some of us what might look like a step backwards is really a supernatural promotion (if we are obedient to the Spirit). So, if God sets up to move you, be open to that. Be obedient.

 

A Re-mantling and the Eyes of the Lord

 

Another aspect of the new supernatural renaissance is going to be breaking the chains of oppression. People, who have been oppressed by the enemy in many different ways— physically, financially, psychologically, emotionally, etc.—are going to get amazing breakthroughs, especially mental illnesses. I would encourage healing evangelists to lay hands on people with debilitating mental illnesses and expect the God of the breakthrough to heal them. Watch for a breakthrough in the realms of the gifts of healing(s) and miracle(s) in this coming season (1 Corinthians 12:4-12).

 

Ecclesiastes 1:9 tells us: “That which has been is what will be, That which is done is what will be done, And there is nothing new under the sun.” Yet Isaiah 43:19 says God will do a new thing. One of the ways that is going to happen is that God is going to release breakthroughs upon the earth. Many well-known saints that have died and gone on to be with the Lord. God is about to release their anointings and mantles back into our midst. They are still available. These anointings and mantles aren’t gone, they have not been lost. The eyes of the Lord are searching for someone on whom He can pour out or empower with those same mantles. There is going to be a re-release of mantles and anointings. It will be a re-mantling.

 

God is equipping and raising up a new generation to pick up the torch, pick up the lost or ignored anointings, pick up the lost or ignored mantles. God is calling and anointing young (and older-smile) prophets and apostolic leaders to oversee schools of the Spirit, equipping centers, and these other incubators of the Spirit—places where people can be trained and equipped and laid hands on and sent out.

 

This is what it looks like:

 

Ephesians 4:7-11:

 

But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. Therefore He says: “When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men.” (Now this, “He ascended”—what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.) And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

 

Propelled by Love

 

All of the things I have written about here have got to be propelled forward by love; specifically the Love of God. Everything I have expressed, and everything I have written must come from Romans 5:5: “because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.”

 

There are an army of God’s powerful angels who are going to be released from the heavenly places that are going to usher in this transition in the Body of Christ. That sounds hard to believe. For us as human beings it’s impossible. But with God, nothing is impossible (Luke 1:37). God radically changed and transformed the whole earth through the first Renaissance. Surely, there will be a new supernatural renaissance within societies and within the church at large that will reignite and transform the whole church (Revelation 3:14-16).This supernatural transformation and rekindling is happening even now, and we have the privilege to be a part of it.

 

Prayer of Activation:

 

Dear Father, thank You for this fresh season of renaissance and breakthrough. Lord, today I persevere in my heart to receive the mantles, to receive the anointings, to receive the gifts of God that are available to me through Your Spirit. Lord, I recognize and I believe that there is a real awakening, that there is a new and supernatural renaissance coming to the whole earth and to the entire church. I thank You Lord, and I determine to open up my heart, and my spirit, to allow Your new renaissance, rebirth, and Your renewal, to come into my sphere of influence.

 

Thank You for the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit, I invite you to move in my life. I give you permission to recalibrate the way I think and how I understand the possibilities of the Kingdom of Heaven. Thank You, Lord that I am entering into a season of new things. I am entering into a season supernatural breakthroughs, and new anointings, new mantles, new abilities to see and hear in a new and supernatural way. I am entering into a season there I will know that the impossible is only an opportunity for God to release His miracles in my life and sphere of influence.

 

I am breaking into a season of victory. I thank You that I am more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus who strengthens me. Lord, I thank You for allowing me to see and experience the new and supernatural renaissance in the Body of Christ. Lord, I thank You that You are doing a new thing. And like fresh bread, Lord, help me to discern the fragrance that heaven is releasing into the earth at this season. Help me to discern what You are doing, when You are doing it, and where You are doing it. Lord, I pray that You will empower me to step into the new supernatural renaissance even now. Lord, I thank You that I am entering into this season of renaissance by faith. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
