The Amazing Grace of GodBy Kevin Basconi

The Amazing Grace of God

Romans 1:7 To all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Grace; Greek Strong’s reference 5485; charis (Khar-ece);  Meaning Graciousness, a gracious or benevolent act of spiritual significance.

This word is especially associated with God’s divine influence up the heart of a person. When God’s grace is resting or placed upon an individual God’s character and mercifulness are always reflected in that person’s life and through their actions.

God’s grace can be synonymous with God’s favor acting upon your life.

God’s grace is synonymous with God’s joy upon and within your life. God’s grace if a benefit released by the Spirit of God from the heavenly places that manifests upon or within the earthly dimensions and within many areas of an individual’s life. When you have the grace of God resting upon you, generally you have an attitude of thanksgiving and praise for the goodness of God released to you supernaturally.  You become thankful for all that God does in your life and you receive the revelation that the Lord is worthy of your praise affection and worship. You desire to grow closer to Jesus and to become more Christ like through the refining ministry of the Holy Spirit. This process is called sanctification or holiness (Both of these are much needed in the church today).

God’s grace is much more important than many Christians realize or understand.

Without the finished work of the Cross and the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ there is no heavenly grace for the creature from the Creator.  The Cross of Calvary is the only bridge to God’s grace. There is no other path, Jesus is the way the truth and the life blood of God’s grace.

Paul, more than any other Apostle had a more accurate epiphany and revelation of the grace of God. Yet we also need the same revelation that without the passion of Christ Jesus there could be no release of the gift of grace from God. The Lord Jesus Christ made it possible for the grace of God (The Father) to rest or manifest upon you and me today.

Without the teachings and the passion of the Cross of Calvary there would be no grace from heaven for you and I.

The grace of God charis (Khar-ece); gives or releases to us supernatural power and a God ordained strength to overcome the accuser of the brethren.

Romans 16:20 And the God of peace will crush; (shatter into tiny pieces or utterly destroy) satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

The Apostle Paul understood the relevance and importance of God’s grace to be upon all of God’s Children. (The grace of God that is upon Israel and the Jewish people is one reason that God’s chosen people have so much influence and favor the world.

Here is but one example; As of 2017, Nobel Prizes have been awarded to 892 individuals, of whom 201 or 22.5% were Jews, although the total Jewish population comprises less than 0.2% (that is 2 tenths of 1 percent) of the world's population. This means that the percentage of Jewish Nobel laureates is at least 112.5 times or 11,250% above average. Again, this is just one and example of the amazing grace of God resting upon a whole people group for thousands of years. God blesses those that bless Israel (Genesis 12:3; I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed." The reason for these incredible statistics is that God’s grace rests upon Israel perpetually (forever). For example; the Nobel prize awards to the jewish people is an example of God’s amazing grace upon Israel.

Romans 16:24; The [grace charis (Khar-ece)]; of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

1Cornthians 16:23; The grace charis (Khar-ece); of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

God’s grace is unmerited, underserved. God’s grace is released from the divine influence of God almighty. I call this kind of grace “heavenly blessings”. Grace is a heavenly blessing. There is nothing you can do to earn God’s grace. God’s grace will not manifest through our works or our good deeds.

2Timothy 1:9; God has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace charis (Khar-ece) which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.

God’s grace has been in existence for eternity. God’s grace is only released to us through the ministry of Christ Jesus, even before the fall of man God had prepared and planned to release grace from the Creator to the creature. Now, that is amazing grace!

Here is an Old Testament scripture that illustrates this supernatural aspect of God’s grace.

Ezra 9:8 "And now for a little while grace (for a little while) grace has been shown from the LORD our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us.

God’s grace, at times can be seasonal. These seasons can last for a few minutes to thousands of years as God wills.

Hebrew; Strong’s 08467.  ah,  tekh-in-naw'; this Hebrew word can be translated to mean graciousness; favor, grace, supplication (support through answered prayer or the power of divine influence).

This Old Testament Scripture also points out another aspect of God’s amazing grace. God’s grace can be chronological. God has established seasons of grace. By seeking to become obedient to the Lord both chronologically and geographically you properly position yourself to be in the right place at the right time which can activate the heavens to open over your life which in turn enables Elohim to release amazing outpourings of  God’s grace upon you and everything that you set your hands to.

Genesis 1:14; Then God said, "Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens (Shamayim) to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs; Hebrew; twa  'owth,  oth – an appearing signs or signal; a  beacon, a divine moment or supernatural evidence of the movement and or favor of  God matriculating  or moving without notice in a situation, a life or moving on the behalf of an individual, a group of people or even moving upon the behalf of an entire nation sovereignly.

oth – can also mean and seasons, for days and years; (In the case of Israel the grace and favor of God has been in place working supernaturally for the Hebrews for thousands of years.

Genesis 1:14; Then God said, "Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years;

Strong’s Hebrew 04150.   mow`ed,  mo-ade' – This is a very special Hebrew word that is associated with the activation or movement of God’s grace upon individual, a group or even an entire nation. {mo-aw-daw'}; can literally be translated as  an appointment, or a fixed time or favored season.

Think about that!  God has specific times that He wants to meet with you for the sole or simple purpose of adding more grace and more favor upon your life. Not only that, but these additional measures of favor or outpourings of Grace are generational in nature. They are not just for you. God’s grace is reserved and released for your children’s children.

The reality of God’s grace is that His grace is truly a generational blessing.

Looking again back to Genesis 1:14 we see additional supernatural aspects of the faithfulness of God and His character of meeting us a specific times and places.

Strong’s Hebrew 04150; mow`ed,  mo-ade' – can also specifically be translated as a festival; conventionally a year (Grace can last for a year or more) Grace can be for a season, so when you discern that God’s grace is upon your life and moving , thank God for it and luxuriate in His grace. Praise him and thank Him for pouring out His grace upon your life.

By implication, a moed is an assembly (as convened for a definite purpose, a moed can be a place or a specific place of meeting- usually a holy place (the Holy of Holies on the day of atonement /an appointed time once per year of the day of Atonement which is an appointed time for the priest to meet one on one with God to intercede and repent for the entire nation of Israel);

(my prayer room in Kansas City was such an appointed place - Pease hear my heart; I am not in any way relating or comparing my prayer room to the holy of holies in the temple. I am just using an illustration of a modern day example of a holy place that was set aside to meet with the Lord). This is a spiritual principle that can be helpful to activating the grace of God in your life and circumstances. You can make a conscious decision to set aside a special place and specific time to meet with God each day.

A moed can also be translated as a signal [or a sign in the heavens above].  These divine signs are usually appointed beforehand). (Shooting Star - August 25th 2001 at 1:13 am after the Jabez youth outreach). Although I did not know about these scriptural principles back in 2001, I believe that God gave me a personal moed or a sign in the heavens to show me or to attest His approval of my actions of obedience. Why? Because I had been a doer of the work of which His Spirit had spoken into my heart 120 days before (James 1:25). I believe that there was an increase of the measure grace of God the Lord had placed upon my life in during those three seconds that shooting star creased the heavens above my head on the beautiful starry, starry night.

God poured out another or an additional measure of His unmerited grace upon my life and the effects of His grace were evident to all who knew me and my circumstances.

So A moed can also be translated as an appointed (sign, or appointed time).

A moed can also be translated as a certain or solemn and or holy place.

A moed can also be translated as an assembly, a congregation, a set time, or an appointed feast. These are divinely appointed times released by God in His grace in a due or preordained season. There are seven major moeds or appointed feasts on the Hebraic calendar each year.

Usually these kinds of supernatural moeds or signs come or are released from heaven as a result of radical obedience to the leadings of God’s eternal spirit.

A moed is a set time for a congregation to meet (sometimes these congregations are small as I have just outlined).

This kind of definition of a supernatural congregation can also be made up of only you, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Sometimes God’s amazing grace comes in small packages and in short intervals of time.

Meeting with God like this can release the grace of God in and upon your life in a greater and more palatable measure. You will notice a tangible release of God’s grace in your life that will supernaturally transform your circumstances. (These kinds of supernatural transformations do not always take place instantly). They often require us to be diligent, determined, and unwavering to the promises of God. Again, that is the type of moed that I believe I experienced with God on August 25th, 2001 at 1:13 am. I met with God at an appointed time and the Lord communicated with me with signs in the heavens above.

God released a new and greater measure of His grace upon my life. (If I boast in anything I boast in the goodness and mercy of God and His supernatural grace). However, it took two more years for there to be a tangible manifestation of the grace of God actually working in my life and circumstances to transform who I was In Christ.

Now hear my heart…I am not talking about works, I am teaching you about aspects or supernatural keys in reference to activating God’s grace in your life. I am teaching you about learning how to supernaturally position yourself to appropriate God’s grace for yourself. You can learn to find God’s grace in your time of need as well. He is listening and He is merciful and gracious.

Psalm 103:8; The LORD is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy. God is full of grace and his mercy endures for ever for the repentant of heart. God responds to a contrite spirit and humble spirit.

Here are a three more keys to help release God’s grace into and upon your life.

Psalm 51:17; The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart-These, O God, You will not despise.

By the way, these appointed times are based upon the lunar or Hebraic calendar. Here is an example of moeds based upon the Hebrew or lunar calendar.

2 Chronicles 8:13; according to the daily rate, offering according to the commandment of Moses, for the Sabbaths, the New Moons, and the three appointed yearly feasts-the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Weeks, and the Feast of Tabernacles.) [Feast of Booths].

Chuck Pierce has written an excellent book to help New testament Christians to recognize the importance of and significance of the Hebrew Calendar to properly positioning yourself to receive God’s unmerited grace and favor. The book is titled; A time to advance; Understanding the significance of the Hebrew tribes and months.

Our friend James Durham has also written a fantastic book on this subject titled; Appointed Times.

Both of these books are very good. Having read both of these books I personally enjoyed Pastor James Durham’s book more thoroughly and the book Appointed Times it is available for you here at this event. I have also written a book with a more truncated or shorter teaching about God’s times and seasons called the Sword of the Lord and the rest of the Lord. I encourage you to study these scriptural principles for yourself as the Holy Spirit leads you.

What I want you to see and the revelation I want you to get is that without being both chronologically and geographically in synchronization with the Lord you are not properly positioned to have the grace of God multiply and fall upon your life fully. Without the fullness of God’s grace upon us we may miss a huge portion of the goodness and destiny that God has ordained for each of us to walk in and walk out in the Kingdom of Heaven upon this earth today.

Now, let’s move back the teachings of the Apostle Paul. Remember Saul who was transformed (because he stumbled in to the Lord Jesus at a certain time in a certain place (Acts 9- the Damascus road) his life was transformed in a moment and in the twinkle of an eye.  Saul was a Pharisee; one who persecuted those in the way (the church). But he was transformed; He became a chosen vessel handpicked by the Lord Jesus (the only person referred to as a chosen vessel in the New Testament) to take the truth (the Gospel) to the Gentiles.

As a former Pharisee Paul would have great understanding and insight into the importance of the Lord’s appointed times and moeds.

Acts 9:15; But the Lord said to him (Ananias), "Go, for he (Saul) is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel.

Now that is a pretty heady assignment. That is the result of the unmerited grace of God falling upon an individual’s life. This may surprise you, but God can release this same caliber or supernatural degree of His grace upon your life and you too can become a vessel of honor to take the gospel to whole people groups, nations and even kings and leaders of nations. It is a divine and supernatural grace. It is the God kind of Grace that transforms people like this. Again we see this kingdom dynamic revealed in the life of Saul who was transformed into the Apostle Paul by the unmerited grace of God.

It was the unmerited and unasked for grace of God that transformed Saul into the Apostle Paul. And it is the grace of God that continues to touch the whole earth with the Gospel of the Kingdom through the ministry of the Apostle Paul event today. God’s grace upon the apostle Paul is still touching lives today. God’s grace that was placed upon Paul is even touching your life today in 2018. The grace that was placed upon the Apostle Paul on the Damascus road, (and certainly other places and encounters with the risen Savior Jesus) have influenced this teaching even today August 25th, 2018; which happened to be exactly 17 years after I experienced my personal moed or sign in the heavens above released from the hand of the Lord.

Now that is amazing grace! And God is actively looking for nation shakers even today. God is looking to transform your life through His grace upon you and within your sphere of influence. Again, that is amazing grace! And just think about this God’s grace is available to you today. We are going to pray for God to release a bodacious heap of His grace upon your life here shortly. What’s more, I believe the Lord will do it. Remember; Matthew 11:12; "And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. Just purpose in your heart right now that you will just believe to receive a new and supernatural measure of God’s grace upon your life, just believe to receive a new and supernatural measure of God’s grace, your family and into your entire sphere of influence! Amen.

2Cornthians 8:9; For you know the grace charis (Khar-ece);  of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.

God’s grace can take you for poverty to prosperity, from sickness to health; charis can take you from hopelessness to hope. God’s supernatural grace can change your life in every reguard.

Galatians 6:18 Brethren, the grace charis of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.

The grace of God can strengthen your spirit when you feel weak.

2Cornthians 12:9; And He said to me, "My grace charis is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power (Dunamis) of Christ may rest upon me. This is an example of Jesus personally teaching Paul about the importance and power of understanding how significant the impact of the grace of can be upon and within a person’s life. Do you think that lesson on grace may have been important to Paul?

Philippians 4:23; The grace charis of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

Paul desired everyone to walk and receive the grace of God. By taking this line of reasoning further it could be argued that most believers do not fully understand, comprehend nor walk in the grace of God as the Lord wills for each of us today. But we can learn how to tap into the unmerited amazing grace of God by simply asking.

1Thessalonians 1:1; Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, To the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace charis to you and peace (different from Shalom; meaning rest or prosperity) from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Grace can rest upon whole churches and move through entire ministries; meaning Gods unmerited favor and supernatural prosperity (both in the natural and spiritual prosperity) are manifest in the fellowship of the brethren. That is amazing grace! Find a ministry that is evidently operating under the influence of God’s grace and support it whole heartily. Then you will come under a mantle of grace and experience the favor of the Lord, and the grace of God that the Lord wills for each of us to experience.

Paul desired for all of His disciples to understand and experience God’s grace because from the grace of God flows a type of shalom (again this peace in 1Thessalonians 1:1; is different from God’s other shalom; the meaning can actually be to experience supernatural rest or prosperity) or peace of God into a person’s life; this can look like (Mental wellbeing).

A supernatural peace and rest that flows from the revelation that from the grace of God flows the rest of the Lord or the peace of God into your life and circumstances (this kind of supernatural peace is beyond our ability to understand with our carnal minds). Peace of mind or the healing or our souls (Psalm 23; 3) are the supernatural by products of experiencing and resting in God’s supernatural grace.

2Thessalonians  1:12; The name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace charis of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

God’s glory is released or more correctly worded reflected within your life through God’s grace. The glory of God upon an individual is a work or gift of God’s unmerited grace. Through God’s amazing grace you can outshine Jesus to the world around you at all times. (Even in your weakness)

1Timothy 1:14; The grace charis of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus.

Paul understood that for some people God released or poured out an exceeding and abundant amount of His grace. This type of supernatural measure of God’s grace release superior faith and produce the love of God within and upon an individual’s heart and within their spirit man. Grace changes you for the better. God’s grace working in your life transforms you from the inside out. Grace releases the rest and peace of God into your life and circumstances.

Philemon 1:25; The grace charis of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.

Again, we see that God’s grace has a supernatural ability to empower or strengthen a person’s spirit [or inner man] (no matter what type of circumstances they are facing), through God’s grace you can be transformed into an overcomer. Grace makes you triumphant in Christ Jesus.

2Peter 3:18 but grow in the grace charis and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.

There is a supernatural aspect of God’s grace that empowers you to have unmerited supernatural revelation of the mysteries concerning  the character of the Lord Jesus Christ. This revelation of grace enables and empowers us to recreate Christ in our lives and to be transformed into the very image of Christ.

Ephesians 4:11-13; And he (Jesus) gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.

Apostolic Grace

There is ability, a God given anointing, a supernatural grace gift placed upon certain chosen individuals enabling and empowering them to teach, train, and equip the Body of Christ. Examples of individuals with this kind of apostolic grace gift are many. However, I will list but a few.  Mike Bickle, the apostolic leader of the International house of Prayer in Kansas City Missouri, is a great example. Another perfect example would be Pastor Bill Johnson of Bethel Church in Redding California. Another would be Dr. James Maloney, of Dove on the Rise Ministries International also operates in apostolic grace. Ministers who have this heavenly gift of grace operating in their lives and ministries are empowered supernaturally to help other individuals (with the ongoing help and co-laboring and empowerment of the Teacher (the Holy Spirit) to minister, teach, train and equip the Body of Christ with the heavenly goal of  perfecting the saints.

This is another aspect and is a gift of grace that the Lord places upon some individuals to empower and equip the remnant (who can receive it) to be transformed into the very image of the perfect man, Jesus Christ for the work of the ministry (Ephesians 4; 11-15;  And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; 14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head--Christ--).

Finally a word of caution.

Jude 1:4 For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.

I feel the need to mention (in closing) that there is currently a movement afoot that is seeking to turn God’s grace into a license to sin or portray God’s amazing grace with unholy doctrine and ignore the precepts, principles, and doctrine of the Gospels of Jesus Christ. Some of these people will teach that the teachings of Jesus no longer apply because they have progressive revelation based sole upon the epistles and to the exclusion of the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. Such teachings on grace are based in error. The Bible is the standard that we must base our lives upon if we choose to walk and live as disciple of Christ Jesus.  Progressive revelation can many times be false and erroneous. Do not fall for false doctrines saints.

Ephesians 4:14;  We should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ. Jesus must be the cornerstone of our faith and the plumb line for our doctrine (Acts 4:11). Unfortunately there are many people in the church today with itching ears.

2 Timothy 4:3,4;  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

Christianity that is not Christ centered is not Christianity.

Romans 5:1-5; Therefore, having been justified (Set free) by faith, we have peace (rest and prosperity) with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace [charis]in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope.

5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out (to gush out greedily) in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. The picture is like Gods love pouring over our lives like Niagara Falls, or gushing out upon our spirits old faithful; the famous geyser and national treasure found in the Yellowstone National Park.

By the same token God can also pour out His grace upon our life in unimaginable measures.

Prayer:

Father I thank You that You have poured out Your Holy Spirit into my life like the breaking through of many waters. Lord, I thank You for the Holy Spirit that gives each of us access to Your unmerited grace. Lord, right now, in the name of the risen Savior Jesus, I ask that you pour out your grace upon everyone hearing my voice or reading this teaching at this moment. Thank you for the finished and perfect atonement of the work of Jesus Christ at the cross of Calvary.

Father, I pray that You would indeed, pour out and to release a bodacious heaping helping of Your grace upon everyone hearing my voice right now, no matter where may be. Lord release revelation from your Holy Scriptures of the true meaning of Grace, the grace released by the finished work of Jesus Christ into the world and into the life of everyone who believes that Jesus is indeed Lord.

Lord, I ask that You pour Your unmerited grace into and upon our lives. Touch everyone who hears and reads this prayer by the power of Your spirit and through the unmerited grace released by the finished work of Christ Jesus. Lord, please help each of us to realize that Your amazing grace is truly wonderful and that Your grace is available to us in an unimaginable measure right now! Lord, we touch and agree….give us more of Your glory…pour out a geyser of Your amazing grace upon all of our lives. Touch us and empower us by the essence and power of Your precious Holy Spirit, even now! In the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth I pray. Amen.
