A Conversation with God  (Imagine… seeds) – By Lauri Kruger

Irritating people have finally done it!

You walk away in disgust ~ throw up your hands in frustration and think thoughts that would do justice to an escape artist.

You want to escape!

As you storm off, your vision is invaded with the beauty of nature around you. Not particularly interested in anything peaceful or beautiful ~ yet you can’t escape the moment.

Pine cones litter the ground by your feet.  You stop, tired from your inner ranting and raving.

”Pine cones,”   God says, “have a season within My plan, where they are impossible to penetrate.  Smooth to the point of glass, flexible to resist all pressure, tightly closed to allow nothing in and nothing out.”

You are in agreement with that one.

“Pine cones,”  He says, “have a season within My plan, where they are impossible to close. Open to everything ~ they shed their seeds with abandon beyond reason.  These pine cone people in your life ~ they have their season within My plan.

Enjoy their impossible nature and be amazed at their eventual release.”

You walk again, slower this time.  You know exactly who the PCP people in your life are because you just talked with them.

“Milkweeds,” God says, halting you with His tone, “Are very silky!Sticky folks though sometimes the ooze is more than you can handle.”  He chuckles.

“Do you feel those milkweeds will never do anything but ooze, turning your hands brown with unckie stickies?

Yet in My plan, in their season ~ they release the most profound and prolific seed.  Airborne… going places no one has ever thought about, heard about, planned for.

You will marvel as they leave just when they become valuable.

Don’t fret.

Don’t feel you did something to make them leave.

They were made for travel and need to be joyfully released.

Milkweed folks are important in My plan.”

You stop walking.  All irritation is gone, replaced with wonder, awe, and majesty of God.

“Look to the seed, son.

Look to the seed.  There are more seed producers in My realm than the brilliant, flashy, delightful flowers you have come to depend on.

Look to the seed.   Even those who seem dreary, dead and limited; those who never shed a light on anyone or anything at anytime… those who seem to thrive on dead,  rotting material; who insist on living in damp, dark places ~ disgusting everyone around them…”

His laughter is so overwhelming that it is hard to hear… yet He speaks….

“Have you ever considered the seed ratio contained in a puff ball spore?”

In everything there is My purpose.

In everything there is My plan.

Perhaps it is an Ecclesiastical moment.

Turn it loose and enjoy.

Selah.

Ecclesiastes 3;1- 8;  To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:

2 A time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted;

3 A time to kill, And a time to heal; A time to break down, And a time to build up;

4 A time to weep, And a time to laugh; A time to mourn, And a time to dance;

5 A time to cast away stones, And a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing;

6 A time to gain, And a time to lose; A time to keep, And a time to throw away;

7 A time to tear, And a time to sew; A time to keep silence, And a time to speak;

8 A time to love, And a time to hate; A time of war, And a time of peace.
